Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and notorious Republican political consultant Roger Stone, made an appearance Tuesday in the halls of Congress to denounce Google CEO Sundar Pichai as the tech executive was on his way to testify on issues related to privacy and censorship in front of the House Judiciary Committee.
Jones, who hosts the much-maligned Infowars talk show, yelled and screamed allegations of censorship at Pichai whose Google-owned YouTube banned Jones’ show from the video platform in August.
Roger Stone famously led a disruptive protest called the “Brooks Brothers riot” during the contested 2000 presidential election, which may have helped secure George W. Bush’s victory in Florida and consequently the presidency. It’s unlikely today’s protest will be as historic or that Google will change its practices in the way Stone or Jones are demanding.
Postscript: Oh... and Monopoly Man was there.
